Bringing Essential Healthcare Closer to Communities

A Permanent Healthcare Facility for Underserved Communities

Access to reliable and affordable healthcare remains a major challenge for many underserved communities in Nepal. Distance, limited resources and financial difficulties can prevent families from receiving timely medical attention.

Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal is working to address this need through the establishment of a Permanent Community Health Center in Sunsari, Nepal.

The center is designed to provide essential medical services in a safe, accessible and sustainable environment, helping individuals and families receive basic healthcare closer to their communities.

Why Accessible Healthcare Matters

For families living in underserved communities, healthcare can be difficult to access when medical facilities are far away or when the cost of treatment becomes a barrier.

A local health center can help reduce these barriers by bringing essential services closer to the people, allowing families to seek medical attention earlier and receive appropriate basic care.

The Community Health Center is therefore intended not only as a place for treating illness, but also as a platform for preventive healthcare, maternal and child health support and community health awareness.

Essential Healthcare for the Community

The health center is designed to provide basic, accessible and community-focused healthcare services to underserved individuals and families.

Basic medical consultations, assessment and treatment for common health conditions and everyday healthcare needs.

Maternal Health

Support for mothers through basic maternal healthcare services, health guidance and appropriate referrals when needed.

Child Health

Basic healthcare support for children, including health assessment, preventive guidance and community health awareness.

Minor Procedures

Appropriate basic procedures and first-line care for minor health conditions within the capacity of the facility.

+

Preventive Healthcare

Health education, prevention awareness and community-based activities aimed at improving long-term health.

Community Outreach

Outreach activities designed to connect underserved families with healthcare information and essential services.

Extending Healthcare Beyond the Clinic

The health center can also serve as a foundation for community-based medical activities and outreach services.

Through collaboration with qualified medical professionals and organizations, including medical camp partnerships such as IMANA-supported activities, we aim to expand access to essential healthcare for people who may have limited access to medical services.

These activities can include medical consultations, health awareness, screening and referral support, according to the needs of the community and the availability of qualified healthcare professionals.
